On the last Sunday of the month and on the first Sunday of the next month, children will be given the opportunity to recite the Bible verse to their Sunday School teacher. Children’s Sunday

During the month of May, the Sunday School classes will be preparing for Children’s Sunday which will be held on June 8th. Each year on Children’s Sunday, the Sunday School classes and MCC Youth help lead the 10:00 service.

The entire congregation is invited to the Children’s Sunday church picnic following the 10:00 service as we celebrate the end of a great Sunday School year and the beginning of the summer season! Please mark your calendars and plan to picnic with us on  June 8th!

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day

As you may know, each year the Sunday School program celebrates Mother’s Day and Father’s Day by creating special crafts for each holiday. We will be looking for volunteers on May 11th (Dads if possible) and June 15th (Moms if possible). Volunteers will help the children in the different classes make their crafts. (We supply the craft idea and all materials!) Please see Melissa or Joyce if you can help.

Acolyte Class – May 18, 2008

If you or your child will be entering Grade 3 or higher next September, would like to serve as an acolyte, and have not already attended the acolyte class, you need to attend the next Acolyte Class. The next class will meet on Sunday, May 18 from 9:00 am – 9:45 am. During this class we will discuss the importance of acolytes and their role and responsibility during the MCC Worship services. We will practice lighting candles, discuss the meaning of lighting candles, and how that relates to being an acolyte.
