At the birth of Jesus, Mary and Joseph were very grateful, no doubt, for the wise men's gifts of frankincense, gold, and myrrh. But, what if one friendly shepherd had shown up with a nice, warm meal cooked up for them? Wouldn't that have been a wonderful gesture?? The Deacons are looking for one or more 'friendly shepherds' who would be willing to coordinate the MCC Meal Ministry. We are all very grateful to Leslie Musiak who served in this capacity for many years. Leslie says that some months go by without a call, but when there is a need, the coordinator must act quickly. Dinners are provided for members of our church family on such occasions
as: first night home with baby, first night in new home, hospital
stays, family loss and other occasions.
