Each Sunday our Congregation gathers for praise and worship as well as spiritual education. Adult Sunday School is held from September-June before the service at 8:45 AM. At the same time, we hold an early morning nursery group for children pre-K through K, a Bible Club for children in grades 1 through 6, and a Bible Study for teens in grades 6 through 12 led by Dan Van Horne (Director of the Youth Ministry). Our time of worship begins at 10:00 AM with a single blended service (featuring both traditional and contemporary music) held in our newly renovated, handicapped-accessible sanctuary. Children from preschool through grade 6 attend the first 10-15 minutes of the service and then attend their Sunday School classes. Nursery care is available for children ages 4 and under. A common time of coffee hour fellowship is held right after the service each Sunday. Sermons by our Senior Pastor, Rev. Larry Schell teach and inspire us, helping us to apply God’s Word and commandments to our daily lives. At times, pastoral interns and lay people offer their own testimonies of what a difference their faith has made in their own lives. Music is always great in our church! Songs by Onward (our worship team) and Adult Choir help us to reflect on our faith and draw near to God in worship. From time to time, we enjoy special music by our vocal soloists, instrumentalists, Handbell Choir, Kids of the Kingdom children’s choir, Youth Orchestra, as well as guest musicians and worship leaders. The Lord's Supper is shared on the first Sunday of the month. A time of prayer and healing is held on the third Sunday of the month. Baptism is offered during the other Sundays of the month as may be appropriate. Interested parties should speak with the Senior Pastor to schedule an appointment. Variety enlivens our services as well as our fellowship. Small groups of adults meet throughout the week for Bible Study and support (please see Fellowship Groups for more details.) For children there are special plays and activities throughout the year. For the youth there are active Junior/ Senior High gatherings (check out the Youth Group page for more info). A variety of social activities are sponsored by the many ministries of the church including parties, picnics, fairs, dinners, and newcomer receptions. Please see our Ministries pages for details on all of our groups. Our "Good News" Newsletter and "Good e-News" Emails keep everyone informed of church happenings. The Newsletter is published every month and is mailed to all members and friends. The e-News Emails are sent out once a week. If you would like to receive either of these, please send your name and address or email address to the church office. |
